I love this post. Becoming intimate with the land as a shepherd illustrates how essential man is to nature. We are as much a part of nature as the heather on your hillside. J In order for a pasture to thrive, it needs the management of a good shepherd. Understanding the unique qualities and history of your land helps to make good decisions. Good luck this winter. I hope the result will be a healthy crop of lambs.
