I love your writing and some of your essays have moved me very much. I wanted to comment but I didn’t know how to put into words how it made me feel. Needless to say I’m grateful for everything you do! 🙏🏼
The app is usually my medium of choice for reading, but I try to remember to open emails when I receive them. Not in a place to add another paid subscription right in this moment but your writing here is deeply appreciated. Especially the real and raw bits.
Does it make a difference to Substack or the almighty algorithm where we read your Ramblings? Is the substack app better than reading from the email inbox, for example?
I'm honestly not sure, on my end it still counts as a delivery whether you receive it on the app or email, and I guess Substack wants you reading on the app so they'll make sure you never miss anything on it (they say they don't use algorithms), but I'm not sure whether opening them in the app has any effect on your email filters so I'd probably like Jan says above still open an email from time to time if you want to make sure they keep landing in your inbox there too.

Thank you Daniel. I am honoured and delighted to have you here!

I think there's also an option in your settings to choose where you want posts delivered, app or email if you prefer to just have them in one place.
